Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manufacturing Manager to oversee our production operations. The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overall end-to-end production performance across the site, ensuring that manufacturing output meets business requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and compliance. This is a senior level role within the business that provides strategic leadership and operational accountability, translating business objectives into effective manufacturing plans and driving continuous improvement.

As Manufacturing Manager, you will be required to fulfil the following criteria.

Duties

  • Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet customer demands and company objectives.
  • Regularly monitor workflow across shifts and adjust resources to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with food-contact certifications, hygiene protocols and maintain a culture of cleanliness throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to resolve issues promptly and maintain audit readiness. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with agreed standards.
  • Lead, develop and performance‑manage production team leaders and production operators, with regular and annual performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with customer service, quality assurance, and supply chain departments to streamline processes.
  • Analyse production data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
  • Manage production budgets, labour costs, overtime spend, reduce waste, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or agreed availability timelines.
  • Prepare reports on production performance for senior management.
  • Manage and control all in house and outsourced maintenance works for production equipment and machine tooling

Requirements

  • Proven experience in manufacturing/production management or a similar leadership role within an industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, health & safety regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive working environment.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.

  • 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
  • 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays.
