Silicone Extrusion

Silicone extrusion is a manufacturing process used to create continuous lengths of silicone rubber profiles with a consistent cross-sectional shape. During extrusion, uncured silicone compound is pushed through a die (a specialised tool that shapes the material) and then cured (usually with heat) to set its final form.

This method is ideal for producing flexible, durable components such as tubing, seals, gaskets, cords and weatherstrips. Because silicone can withstand extreme temperatures, UV exposure and chemical cleaning agents, extruded silicone products are widely used across industries including food and beverage, medical, automotive and construction.
